Multi-Use Modular
Studio Multi are developing proposals with engineers Design ID for a variety of volumetric modular buildings. These range from buildings for science and research to multi-use buildings for our clients on science and technology parks. This multi-use building is designed for workspace, studios, seminars, fitness and cafe. The team are developing a range of facade types and using this as a basis to collaborate with a range of other disciplines to experiment with different uses, materials and systems.
The modules are 4.2m high as standard and 3.6m wide (variable). A variety of stiffening methods are used for high impact/ load areas and spaces can be made more cellular or opened subject to requirement. At design concept stage, this is yet to be fully engineered but the programme savings, increase in quality and embodied carbon are favourable compared to most traditional forms of construction.
